Site: National Weather Force has issued a Winter Storm Watch / Winter Weather Watch Hybrid effective Friday and Saturday.
Date: 12/9/20 at 11:30 am Central Time
Forecast: An upper level low will eject out of the Rocky Mountains on Thursday, providing Friday with the start of the snowfall across the region. Heavy snowfall through then and into Saturday will hit the winter storm watch areas, with lesser amounts in the advisory zones. Note that the Chicago area is south of the winter weather watch, so advisory level snow events are not likely to happen there.

The winter weather watch means that below winter storm watch/warning levels will happen, but snow is still expected to accumulate at limits. The Winter Storm Watch however extends from IA to MI through WI. Heavy snowfall is very likely in the storm watch area.
