National Weather Force has issued a Wind Advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday for all areas within the Sacramento Valley area (Yellow on the map included) so read on for details …
A storm system will miss to the northeast, as has had happened many times this entire season. The resulting system will bring cold air rushing down off the high terrain and into the Sacramento Valley areas starting on Tuesday. The gusts will be strongest on Wednesday with 30-45 mph wind gusts expected. Gusts like these are not damaging, but they can bring blowing dust at times. I do not expect these to impact any other areas not within the ‘yellow shade’ in the image above.
