Flood Watch

Issued or Partial Issued States:  AR, MS, TN, MO, KY, AL

Site:  National Weather Force has issued a Flood Watch effective Tuesday …

Date:  2/18/22 at 3:30pm Central Time

Forecast: An upper level low will eject into Texas from the Pacific Southwest on Monday.  This system will draw in gulf moisture and bring a frontal zone across the flood risk zone Monday, but mainly overnight into all of Tuesday, spreading throughout the day to the east.

Enough instability is present to introduce thunderstorms for the watch area.  Severity will be monitored as it gets closer …

A NWF Flood Watch means conditions are possible for heavy rainfall in a short period of time that can lead to flooding in spots.  Hydroplaning on roadways is very likely in this type of scenario as well.
