National Weather Force has issued a Flood Watch for North Carolina, south into the eastern half of South Carolina effective Saturday, May 27th, 2023.
An early surface tropical low will develop off the South Carolina coast today. This will move in over the day on Saturday, bringing in strong moisture influx to the eastern half of South Carolina northward up through most of North Carolina. This system will weaken over Eastern North Carolina on Sunday.
Saturday looks to be the worst day for the flood concern, and will also effect the Bike Sports in Eastern North Carolina. National Weather Force models have it at a high risk in Wilmington, the rest moderate, but still you are officially from this weather office in a Flood Watch.
Strong wind gusts due to surface pressure differentials will be along the South and North Carolina coast today but weaken as the flooding begins on Saturday.
