National Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch that affects a small-scale area surrounding the Seattle Metro zones, which includes areas surrounding the Puget Sound Convergence Zone as well. This is in effect from noon till 8pm local.
A potent storm system is moving into the Pacific Northwest today. As it moves east, cold air aloft behind it will move in, bringing up the instability. With the instability in place, thunderstorms will be possible in or around the watch area.
