National Weather Force has issued a Tornado Advisory effective now through midnight tonight, day of April 14, 2024 for the following zones.
Zones: Central to Eastern Ohio, and Western, Southwest, and Central Pennsylvania.
Discussion: A frontal zone will be across a zone between Manfield, Ohio, east into Akron and Youngstown, and then east into Pennsylvania this afternoon and evening. Thunderstorm development will be 100 percent. Latest instability profiles suggest thunderstorms development will have a chance of tornadic activity, along with hail and wind risks.
The highest risk of tornadic activity looks to be around or just northeast of the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania forecast area.
A Tornado Advisory issued here at National Weather Force means that severe thunderstorms are 100%, and a chance of tornadoes is there as well, but not a full tornado watch as the focus is severe thunderstorms. This will end at midnight local.
