Severe Thunderstorms Likely for the Eastern half of Utah for June 21, 2024



National Weather Force has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective today, June 21, 2024, for the following zones:

Zones issued for:  Eastern half of Utah

Discussion:  Moisture from Alberto is continuing to stream northward through Mexico, Arizona, and into Utah and Colorado.  Strong upper divergence and instability will cause rapid thunderstorm development across the watch area starting at around noon and going through the evening.

Select cities include Vernal, Roosevelt, Price, Green River, Moab, Hanksville, and Blanding.

Storms today will be capable of large hail, damaging winds, and a chance of tornadoes.
