Hurricane Watch: Hurricane Beryl to Landfall in Texas Near Corpus Christi by Monday, July 8, 2024

National Weather Force has issued a Hurricane Watch effective Monday, July 8th, 2024 out ahead of Hurricane Beryl.

Zones affected:  Brownsville, Corpus Christi, and Lake Jackson, Texas

Discussion:  Hurricane Beryl remains moving westward through the Carribean as we speak.  She will eventually turn to the north just before hitting Eastern Mexico.  All numbers suggest this northerly turn, which will impact Texas around Monday.  The system is expected to be a minimal hurricane, but flooding will be a major issue in the watch zones as well.  This is the first Hurricane Watch National Weather Force has issued for this season.
